ADSIS
What is ADSIS?
Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services (ADSIS) offers schools the opportunity to apply for funding to hire staff members who will administer interventions with the goal of keeping students in the general education environment. ADSIS provides instruction to assist students who need additional academic or behavioral support to succeed. The goal is to reduce the number of unnecessary referrals to special education by providing proactive instructional supports to students who have more difficulty reaching academic and behavioral benchmarks. Districts are expected to align the ADSIS program within their existing continuum of supports, without missing core instruction. At the end of each year, the interventionists submit evaluation information to the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) to determine program impact.
