Who can join Robotics?

• FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition), grades 9-12. The team practices twice a week at RHS. In January, practices are held five days a week until the competition in March.
• FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge), grades 7-8. This program is run through Rockford Community Education. Please contact the advisor for details.
• FLL (FIRST Lego League), grades 5-6. This program is run through Rockford Community Education. Please contact the advisor for details.

Communications: students via Group Me app; parents via email.

What is Robotics?
In general, robotics is the field concerned with the construction, programming, and use of robots, specialized machines designed to perform certain tasks that humans assign. Robots are currently used in a wide range of different fields, either to replace or to augment human labor.

What is a Robotics Competition:
At robotics competitions, teams of students must design and build a robot that can compete against opponents in a series of specific challenges.

Registration for Robotics:
