Registration for Athletics/Activities

When does registration for athletics/activities open?

  • Fall sports/activities - mid/late July.
  • Winter sports/activities - early/mid October.
  • Spring sports - mid February.

Registration Platform Update:

In the summer of 2025, families were notified that our activities registration and scheduling platforms would be migrating to a new system. Rockford Area Schools has now transitioned to BOUND. By the 2026-27 school year, all schools in the Wright County Conference will also be using BOUND.

We appreciate your patience and support during this transition. Instructions on how to register are sent to families of students in grades 7-12 prior to each season’s registration period. You can also access step-by-step registration instructions by clicking this link.

What is required to be eligible to practice on the first day?

Submit online registration form (instructions available on the link above) - The link to Rockford's BOUND registration site is available on this page under REQUIRED REGISTRATION FORMS. To register, parents/guardians need to create a family account with a parent email and password. All registration and eligibility forms are available to be electronically signed on the registration site.

Fee payment - Activity fees are paid on the BOUND registration site. Payment by cash or check is also accepted. The activity fee must be paid by the first day of practice to be eligible to practice or participate. Players will not be turned away due to financial hardship. Please reach out to the Activities office for assistance with a payment plan.

Sports-Qualifying Physical Exam Requirement – Minnesota
In Minnesota, sports-qualifying physical exams are valid for three years from the date of the exam. A current physical exam is required before a student can participate in any practices or athletic events. To ensure timely clearance, upload the physical exam to the BOUND registration site before the first day of practice.

If the Activities office already has a copy of your child's physical:

  • The exam date has been uploaded into BOUND and no further action from you will be required for the physical on the registration site. Please do not delete the exam date that has been uploaded to BOUND.

  • If the exam has expired, you must upload a new, current physical during registration.

If this is your first time registering for a sport with the district:

  • You must upload your child’s current physical exam to complete and submit the athletic registration.

MSHSL Eligibility Statement & Sports Health Questionnaire - This form is included on the BOUND registration site and is required to be electronically signed by player and parent at the time of registration.
