Instruction that integrates content and skills from the arts areas of dance, drama, music, and visual arts with core subjects.

Instruction that integrates science, technology, engineering, and math with an environmental emphasis.

STEM Integration:

• STEM is integrated daily into core subjects.
• Unique Campus: Students learn from projects in our school forests, vegetable gardens, rain gardens, flower gardens, vineyards, and the Crow River.
• STEM Exploratory Classes: Students will explore Engineering, Agriculture, and Technology.
• Digital Skills: Students learn how to create a web page, code, and create visual projects.
• Makerspace: Makerspace fosters innovation through hands-on experimentation and problem-solving collaboration.
• Partnerships and Field Trips: U of M Raptor Center, Baker Near Wilderness Settlement, 3-Day Deep Portage Trip (grade 6), and more.

IB MAGNET

Infuses a core curriculum with a world focus that can help young people understand their role as responsible world citizens.

IB Integration:

• IB is for ALL: Middle Years Programme (MYP) are for grades 9 and 10, and Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-Related Programme (CP) are for grades 11 and 12.
• Student Interests: Students have the opportunity to work on topics they are passionate about and dig deeper to learn more.

Ages Pre-K to 6th Grade

A certified school-aged childcare program, providing care to PK-6th grade students, conveniently located at Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School (REAMS)

Galaxy Enrichment:

• School Year Program Enrichment: Staff create lesson plans and activities that tie to what the students are learning during the school day to help with continual growth and learning, both at the preschool level and elementary level.

• School Year Program Homework Help: During the afternoon portion of our schedule students are allowed to work on their homework from that day and can ask for staff assistance when  needed to ensure they complete it successfully.

• Summer Program Enrichment: Staff create activities that help students learn different aspects of our weekly theme to help them immerse more deeply into the subject matter.

• Choice-based program: Students get the chance to immerse themselves into many different activities including art, science, math, STEM and more!

From infants to senior citizens and every age in between, community education seeks to increase opportunities for learning, development, and connection across all age groups, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for everyone in our community. 

Community Education Enrichment:

• Youth Programming: arts & crafts, dance, STEM-related classes, sports leagues, gymnastics, driver’s education, and sport-skills camps
• Adult Programs: recreation like pickleball, volleyball or dancing, arts & crafts, personal interest topics, and specific Senior 55+ options
• Rockford Community Center (RCC): family, senior, individual and student memberships, walking passes and a full buffet of fitness classes from Boot Camp to Yoga
