Microsoft has several versions of software available for schools to use in an educational setting.  Rockford Schools is opting to use version A3. The products available through this model include: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Teams, Publisher, and Access.  There is also a classroom services available including: exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Sway, Forms, Stream, Flow, School Data Sync, Power Apps, Bookings, and PowerBi.  The district has been a "Google" district for a number of years; but maintains a Microsoft presence because some MN State Agencies require the use of the applications to securely interact with some departmental staff.  Some students have access to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access in the high school for Business Education and some education classes.  Some students need to use the product in college level classes to write papers in a certain MLA format, for example. The product is available directly installed locally on these computers and available online (cloud-based) for use by students on and off campus.  The classroom services are available; but are currently not being used by students.  The Microsoft applications are listed to be transparent.

This program can be accessed through an Office 365 log-in.  

The youngest grade in use: Grade 9.
This program can be in use by students under the age of 13.
